About our data & coverage

Utah Boating Info is an independent guide, not a government agency. Weather and alerts come from the National Weather Service; ramp reports and available water-level readings come from Utah State Parks; water-quality advisories come from Utah DEQ. Each condition includes its source and available date.

Information refreshes automatically when a lake is opened, with short caching to respect official services. Official agencies control their own update schedules. Missing, undated or older reports are labeled; a successful refresh does not mean an agency issued a new report.

This preview covers waters documented by Utah DWR as having boat ramps or hand launches, plus independently verified destinations such as Fire Lake and Great Salt Lake. Coverage is statewide but is not yet a complete inventory of every boatable alpine lake or reservoir. Activity icons reflect documented access and known restrictions; check the destination’s rules for your particular vessel.

Your location is used only after you click “Find waters near me.” It stays in your browser and is not stored by this site. No accounts, favorites or visitor reports.
